Directors

The Normandy Company’s directors have a combined work experience of over four decades in both management and security. This wealth of experience gives The Normandy Company the versatility and ability to manage and handle a diverse and complex range of exercises.

Maj.Gen. Leopold Eric Kyanda – Chairman, Board of Directors

Gen. Kyanda is currently Joint Chief of Staff of the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF). Previously, he was Chief Land forces, Chief of Personnel & Administration, Defence Attaché in the Embassy of the Republic of Uganda in Washington DC. Chief of Military Intelligence, Commanding officer of the Elite Presidential Guard Brigade and has also served as Aide de Camp to the President of the Republic of Uganda. He has served the UPDF under various capacities, and undertaken several training courses including; a cadet course from the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, United Kingdom, a Senior Commander and Staff course (PSC) in Karen, Kenya an International Intelligence Director’s Course in Chicksands, Wiltshire United Kingdom and a National & International Security course at Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University. Brig. Kyanda is also a member of the National Collegiate of Associated Scholars and has been listed on the Cambridge Who’s Who list starting 2010-2011, which accolade is a lifetime membership (Platinum).

Charles Adrole – Managing Director

Charles has had five years experience working in various United States Government funded projects and until recently prior to joining The Normandy Company was the Project Manager of an $11Million (USD) USAID/AFFORD Malaria Programme. Charles has also been Country Manager for the USAID/NetMark program, a Director, Sales and Marketing of Mtel Uganda Ltd a telecom distribution franchise for Celtel (now Airtel) Uganda Ltd and prior to that was a Sales Manager Uganda Telecom, the first national telecom operator in Uganda. Mr. Adrole is UK public school educated and has an Honours Degree in Business Administration from Coventry University United Kingdom.

William Kyojo – Director, Operations and Training

William is a Security specialist having served as a First Sergeant in the United States supported “Operation Iraq Freedom”, specialising in Range sustainment, Escort and Bodyguard services, convoy operations, defensive driving, entry and exit control, watchtower operations, x-ray operations, first aid, fire fighting, personal and vehicle search.
